Equans is looking for a Shift Assistant Estates Manager to join our team at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. This is a permanent, full-time role, working 39. hours per week. This is based on a shift pattern of four days on, four days off, made up of working two days - and two nights - . On offer is a competitive salary plus shift allowance and benefits package.

The role is to assist the Estates Management team in the provision of Hard FM & Lifecycle Services whilst delivering a high-quality and statutory compliant maintenance service. The role will include assisting in the operation, repair and maintenance of mechanical and electrical engineering services whilst working within a multi-disciplinary hard service team environment.


What will you deliver?


Manage a team of 7 Operatives made up of two Electrical, two Mechanical, one Fabric and two Maintenance Assistants




Managing, directing, and assisting staff in a safe and efficient manner




Co-ordination of contractors on site, ensuring safe management in line with contractual obligations and health and safety at work regulation requirements




Deliver training to staff on relevant subjects as appropriate so experience is gained (e.g. toolbox talks & trade specific subject matter)




When required work on Mechanical and Electrical equipment such as emergency lighting, AHU's, Pumps and act as the first point of escalation




Ensure that planned and scheduled preventative maintenance activities for buildings, plant and equipment using the Maximo system or other works management system, are compliant with Statute, Contract Requirements, Regulations, ACOPs and Guidance (HTMs)

Mechanical

City & Guilds Mechanical Engineering Level 2 & 3


City & Guilds Pipefitting & Plumbing Level 2 & 3
City & Guilds Plumbing Level 2 & 3
Relevant City & Guilds Mechanical qualifications
Related healthcare advanced training (AP competencies in areas such as - Electrical LV/HV, Ventilation, Medical gases, Lifts, Natural gas RP, Decontamination)

Or


Electrical

Electrical Installation Approved apprenticeship with either:


Base electrical qualifications C&G Part A & B
Or City & Guild Part 1 & 2
Or City & Guilds / levels 2 & 3 Diploma
Or EAL Electrical installation QCF Diploma levels 1, 2 & 3 (//0 & //X & //6)
And EAL Level 3 Electrotechnical NVQ or C & G level 3 NVQ
And AM2
18th Edition of the Wiring Regulations C& G -18
City & Guilds -50 Initial Verification of Electrical Installations
