Job Description

About The Role

As a BIM Production Manager, you will swiftly integrate and contribute to our talented and skilled BIM team. Your role will involve actively participating in the successful completion of our flagship projects by providing Scan-to-BIM services and ensuring quality and data compliance within Revit. We are seeking a production manager with over 8 years of experience in 3D survey validation and coordination, with a solid understanding of point cloud data and its integration with evolving 3D models and experience in ISO19650.

This role requires a strong leader with excellent organisational skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and a deep understanding of surveying processes and technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the BIM Production Manager, ensuring the delivery of high-quality Revit models that comply with specifications and are delivered on time.
  • Collaborate with surveyors, internal team members, and clients to ensure the most appropriate modelling workflow, techniques, and software are utilised across the project team.
  • Validate and verify both graphical and non-graphical model data to ensure consistency across project deliverables in accordance with company QA standards and protocols.
  • Audit & review models in Autodesk Revit, by assisting the Technical QC Lead with QC work.
  • Understand the interaction of multiple disciplines and how they interface with one another.
  • Ensure all BIM projects exceed client expectations and meet company standards in quality, timeliness, and health & safety.
  • Train and support junior team members in using BIM & other software effectively.
  • Conduct training to the team on modelling standards & create training material.
  • Conduct clash detection and visual walkthroughs using NavisWorks.
  • Create accurate 3D models of existing buildings, where needed.
  • Manage / Update BIM Project Documents, data.


Project Management: 

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of projects. 
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely delivery of services. 
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed to meet deadlines. 
  • Manage the allocation of resources. 


Team Leadership: 

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Digital Producers. 
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities, ensuring optimal team performance. 
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback. 
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment. 


Process Improvement: 

  • Continuously evaluate and improve production processes to enhance efficiency and productivity. 
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to streamline operations. 


Knowledge, Skills & Training Essential

  • Experience with implementing ISO 19650 Series on a project. 
  • Understanding of geographical coordinate systems. 
  • Excellent communication, attention to detail and collaboration skills. 
  • Deep understanding of point cloud data, drone surveys and photogrammetry. 
  • Confidence and proven experience with Autodesk applications (Revit, NavisWorks, Recap, etc.). 
  • A good understanding of Revit families and parameters. 
  • Good working knowledge of Revit sharing platforms (BIM360, AutoDesk Construction Cloud). 
  • Experience with point cloud data.


Preferable

  • Understanding of measurement standards, including IPMS 1 & 2. 
  • Experience in the building services environment is advantageous. 
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
