CAD Methods Technician

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a CAD Methods Technician within the Design Team.
This role will be based on site in Water Orton, The project’s most complex network of structures in the West Midlands, this sublot includes the Delta Junction – a triangular section of the high-speed railway made up of nine precast segmental viaducts, embankments, and other bridging structures, with around 10km of track crossing a network of motorways, roads and rivers.
To deliver methods drawings for the safe construction methods of Delta junction.
Prepare general construction sequences and detailed construction sequences related to concrete assets according to Methods Engineer instruction and guidance.
• Prepare site installation drawings including access, equipment, utilities, lifting means…
• Prepare conceptual drawings of temporary works to summarize input data to be considered by Temporary Works Designers.
• Prepare conceptual traffic management drawings for the construction of assets.
• Prepare general informative drawings for an easy understanding of the project
• Prepare concept design of working platform
The following qualities/experience are essential:
• Excellent skills in Autocad and Microstation
• Skills in 3D modelling using Civil 3D or OpenRoads /Covadis
• Knowledge about formwork, scaffold, shoring, falseworks, lifting equipment
• Knowledge of ProjectWise
• Understanding of construction sequence

We started working together over 30 years ago to deliver the Channel Tunnel, as members of the TransManche Link consortium. We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a CAD Technician within the Utilities Function. This role will be based on site in Delta Junction and SL4 (Work to be carried on site either at Curzon Street Compound (SL4) or Water Orton Central Compound (Delta Junction))
Role Responsibilities;
Establish and Maintain a 3D CAD Utilities Model (Utilities Model) in compliance with relevant specifications to support the Avoidance of Danger of Underground and Overhead Services Safe System of Work.
Ability to read and determine information from drawings, schedules and specification.
Preparation of drawings using CAD software as appropriate including extracts from the Utilities Model to be integrated in Permits to Dig;
Interrogation of others’ CAD and BIM models including clash detection and flag up conflicts;
Handover of compliant and up-to-date information to all interfaces (internal & external);
Production of schedules
Experienced required
Working independently, responsible for initiating and completing tasks and procedures, including where relevant responsibility for supervising or guiding others.
The ability to gain, and where relevant apply a range of knowledge, skills and understanding.
Able to clearly communicate the requirements of a safe system of work to ensure that these are followed accurately.
Capable of taking ownership of tasks and communicating outcomes.
Able to work on own initiative and seek out opportunities in line with level of responsibility.
Must be a good team player, with developed communication skills. CAD
Relevant Experience in 3D models using Bentley Microstation and AutoCAD platforms; Health Safety & Environmental
Environmental awareness Engineering Control
Able to report issues with control and information provided Quality
Read and understands drawings and schedules • Strong understanding of construction tolerance
Awareness and use of CAD & BIM Specification
Able to produce detailed documentation for handover of completed works
