Class 1 Driver Nights - £15.28 per hour (Rising to £19.08 after 12 weeks) - Monday to Thursday (1 in 2 Sundays during Christmas Peak) - Ongoing Work

The Best Connection are currently recruiting experienced Class 1 (HGV1) Drivers for our client based in Gateshead. This is a fantastic opportunity for professional drivers looking for night trunking work with consistent hours, excellent pay, and the chance to join a reliable and supportive team throughout the busy Christmas period and beyond.

The Role:

Trunk runs to Coventry

Working alongside another driver/team member Monday to Thursday

Carrying out collections and deliveries as required

Ensuring all goods are safely loaded, secured, and delivered on time

Performing vehicle checks and maintaining high safety standards

Working alone on Sundays (1 in 2 Sundays during Christmas Peak)

Communicating effectively with the transport team

The Candidate:

Must hold a valid Class 1 (Category C+E) licence

Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card required

Minimum of 2 years' Class 1 HGV driving experience

Reliable, professional, and safety-conscious

Good communication and customer service skills

Hours of Work:

Monday to Thursday (working alongside another driver)

Start time: Between 21:00 - 21:30

1 in 2 Sundays during Christmas Peak (working alone)

Night shifts only

Ongoing work available with consistent weekly hours

Pay:

£15.28 per hour

Rising to £19.08 per hour after 12 weeks
