In a nutshell

We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Tax Manager to join our thriving Corporate Tax team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with deep compliance and advisory expertise to lead a portfolio of complex and interesting clients, including OMBs and large corporates operating across a wide range of sectors.


You’ll be part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary tax team of over 130 professionals, supported by 13 experienced Tax Partners. The role offers variety, challenge, and the chance to make a real impact—both with clients and within the team.


What you'll be doing day to day

Leading complex corporate tax advisory projects and managing input from specialist teams


Overseeing compliance work and reviewing technical advice prepared by the team
Acting as the main point of contact for clients and HMRC, including with respect to strategic planning, risk management and handling investigations
Collaborating with the Audit and Assurance team and the wider firm to deliver excellent client service
Coaching and mentoring a team of Assistant Managers and Managers by leading performance reviews, providing feedback and encouraging professional development
Supporting business development activities and identifying opportunities for growth both with respect to prospective and existing clients
Contributing to technical knowledge-sharing, both internally and externally, via briefings, workshops, and publication of insights
Upholding high standards of technical quality in all work, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the firm’s risk and compliance procedures, including the Tax Manual
Promoting ESG initiatives, including wellbeing, community engagement, and environmental awareness

About you

CTA qualified (ACA, CA or ACCA an advantage) with significant post-qualification experience in corporation tax compliance and advisory


Adept at interpreting tax legislation and communicating complex advice in plain English
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Strategic thinker with commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
Strong interest in business development activities and leveraging opportunities for growth, through networking and building lasting client relationships
Experienced in and passionate about coaching and developing others, including and fostering an inclusive team and learning environment
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications and tax software packages (Alphatax experience preferred)
