We are seeking a Cost Manager with proven experience gained within a construction consultancy setting, and specifically with a prior focus on projects within the Education, Healthcare or Public Sector markets, which include refurbishment and new build projects. Join us in Scotland where you will be based either from our Glasgow or Edinburgh offices.

As a Cost Manager/Project Surveyor you will be expected to work with a Senior Cost Manager/ Senior Project Surveyor, Associate or Director to successfully manage and deliver capital investment projects. The role will cover the whole project lifecycle from initial inception, through the design and procurement process and onto the site delivery and commissioning phase.

  • Lead Cost Management commissions, taking responsibility for their successful delivery.
  • Provide effective support and mentoring to Graduates and Apprentices.
  • Ensures commissions are managed and completed efficiently, on time and to the client’s satisfaction.
  • Develops strong reciprocal relationships with clients and members of the project team.
  • Manage the delivery of cost management team outputs, in accordance with agreed timescales and quality standards.
  • Provide full Cost Management duties to AECOM clients.
  • Approach to all projects requires a high degree of flexibility and creativity, excellent presentational skills and an ability to communicate effectively with clients and consultants.

Qualifications

Ready to push the limits of what’s possible?

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Degree Qualified – BSc or MSc – in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management.
  • Professional Qualified – Chartered Status with the RICS.
  • NEC 3 /4 experience working with NEC Project Manager.
  • Proven experience in Cost Management providing a full spectrum of deliverables throughout projects.
  • Proven ability to advise clients and design teams on cost, value and risk, not just cost in isolation.
  • Excellent IT Skills and the ability to utilise digital measurement, cost planning and tender documentation tools shall be essential.
