EQUANS are looking for an Electrical Craftsperson (Level 2) working on behalf of Merseyside Fire & Rescue Services in Liverpool. This role would be a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.


General Overview:


This is a role for a proven LV Authorised 18th edition qualified Electrical Technician. Supported by a strong operational team, the focus is developing, maintaining and improving the Electrical systems across the Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service estate.


In particular;


Demonstrate the ability to maintain plant and equipment to agreed specifications and operation


Develop an in-depth knowledge of the relevant individual contracts


Ensure paperwork is up to date and correctly completed


Ensure all jobs are closed down promptly

Impact:


Carry out the defined planned maintenance regime for all contractual obligations within the contract


Ensure Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) are in place.


Issuing of relative working permits.


Carry out repairs, reactive maintenance and minor installation works on plant.


Attend, diagnose and repair faults having due regard to customer care in this specific environment.


Carry out proactive plant monitoring activities to ensure efficient utilisation of plant and equipment


Interrogation of operational information systems to support daily operations as well as fault diagnosis


Complete the relevant paperwork and report diligently.


Any other relevant duties that may be required, some of which may be outside normal working hours.

You will be expected to undertake any training necessary to ensure that you are able to undertake your duties effectively.

Complexity:


Maintain all documentation and records to the highest standard


Understand the contracts and obligations


To undertake training and qualify as Authorised, Responsible and Competent Person for systems as required.


Project a professional image of Equans to external and internal customers, this is to include clear channels of communication


Other tasks as directed by Line Management


Operate in accordance with Best Practice, Equal Opportunities, recognise and value Diversity in the Workplace and demonstrate respect for others.


Place the highest importance upon Equans Health and Safety policies and procedures


Abide by Equans policies and procedures


Always represent Equans in a professional manner

Qualifications or Required Experience:


Full, clean UK driving licence


NVQ Level 3 Technical Certificate with the NET AM2 certificate


Require candidate to have prior experience supervising a team.


Must be comfortable working to tight deadlines and being proactive managing their workload


IT Literate due to majority of work will be office based. Including Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.


Must have the balanced ability to think clearly in extreme circumstances


Experience of using a CAFM system


Good experience and track record in working in Facilities Management


Good knowledge of building services and legislation
