Full Job Description: 

We are currently looking for enthusiastic self-employed drivers out of Newport and delivering to the surrounding areas.

We are currently recruiting for self-employed delivery drivers to be part of our fast-growing team. Be your own boss, in a fun and hard-working environment with a big emphasis on teamwork.


Earn a minimum of £149 with a potential to earn up to £206 daily, with incentive payments.


No previous experience is necessary to join the team. Simply come with a positive attitude and a valid UK or EU driving licence.


If you have your own van, that would be great. If not, Owens Group are able to hire you a van at a cost, including all necessary insurances, with no deposit required. Plus, only pay rental on the days you work!


What we can offer you:

  • Pay based on a daily rate rather than per parcel.
  • Minimum daily payments of £149, plus performance incentives to boost your earnings up to an extra £57.00 per day.
  • Paid working miles, currently paid at 21p per mile. Paid in addition to the daily rate.
  • Additional seasonal incentives.
  • Up to 6 workings days available per week, including weekends as we are a 7-day operation.
  • Pre-planned 9-hour delivery routes, planned onto a bespoke delivery App.
  • Weekly invoice payments paid every Friday.
  • Partnership and support from a professional payment provider, who can assist with invoices, Tax and VAT. Also gain access to Digital GP services, several discounts, mental health support and Total van assist.
  • Induction days paid at an agreed daily rate.
  • Driver referral programme.
  • Driver of The Month scheme.
  • Vehicle Support Plans to help with purchasing your own vehicle.


What we require from you:

  • A full and valid UK or EU driving licence.
  • No more than 6 points on your driving licence. With no DR, CD, DG, IN, MS, or TT related endorsements.
  • Must pass a CRB check and a Drug and Alcohol test.
  • Generally fit, healthy, and able to lift and deliver packages up to 23 kgs.
  • Independent problem solver with good communication skills.
