Deputy Subsea & Pipelines Manager
KBR Consulting is a multidiscipline organization, which incorporates a Subsea & Pipelines team. Projects delivered by the team include onshore pipelines, offshore pipelines and subsea engineering for project phases from feasibility through to Front End Engineering & Design (FEED). We work with other disciplines to deliver projects and also deliver stand-alone subsea and pipeline projects.
We are seeking a Deputy Subsea and Pipelines Manager to work as part of the KBR Consulting International team based in Leatherhead.
The successful candidate will be a key member of the team and will work with the existing Subsea and Pipelines Manager to grow the existing worldwide team, support business processes and maintain the high quality of our engineering deliverables.
The candidate should have excellent organizational skills and be good at communicating and guiding others. They should be able to multi-task, work without supervision, exercise good judgment and communicate with colleagues in the wider KBR organisation.
The candidate shall support the group’s overall sales effort through proposal / tender preparation, contract negotiation, and other client interfacing activities.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Senior professional with strong personal drive and credibility with both internal and external stakeholders. Provide expert knowledge and guidance of subsea and pipelines to projects. A high energy individual with a desire to make a difference and offer suggestions for improvement & recommendations. Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing project-related priorities and deliver high quality, accurate work within required deadlines. Participation in cross fertilisation of work between KBR departments and developing a OneKBR approach to execute projects. Developing and maintaining customer relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction at project level and resolving any issues. Train, develop & mentor the next generation of pipeline and subsea engineers; and abide by the KBR Code of Business Conduct and business ethics.The candidate should be able to demonstrate depth of experience and knowledge in a number of the following services areas:
Onshore pipeline engineering, including all major engineering standards; Offshore pipeline engineering, including all major engineering standards; Subsea engineering, including all major engineering standards. Field development. Execution of feasibility and configuration studies. Execution of FEED projects Developing proposals; and Engaging with clients.Essential skills, experience & qualifications:
Must be able to work across multiple projects and proposals. Must be able to plan resources across multiple projects and disciplines. a relevant number of years of industry experience. Degree in engineering. Chartered engineer. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Positive and flexible attitude. Excellent verbal communication skills for interacting with clients, good cultural awareness. Diplomatic in meeting and working with people (internally and externally); Flexible and willing to work extra hours as necessary to accommodate occasional work load peaks; Work experience with an industry company or technical consultancy is a major plus. KBR Consulting, through the incorporation of KBR’s wholly owned subsidiary Granherne, draws on a heritage of over thirty-five years specialising in the front-end phases of oil & gas field, refinery and petrochemical development projects from pre-feasibility, through feasibility and pre-FEED, up to and including preliminary FEED phases. In addition, we undertake small FEEDs as well as providing specialist consultancy to later through to phases of projects including debottlenecking studies, brownfield modifications, production optimisation, operations and decommissioning.
