The job itself

Gentleman in his mid 70s requires a personal assistant for a minimum of 6 hours per week, extra hours will be available to cover other PAs during holidays and sickness leave. This gentleman has a neurological condition which affects his mobility.

Cover is required for some daytime social calls and late evening calls.

The role will involve supporting this gentleman into his chair by way of a lift that is present in the home. Supporting him with washing and personal care and supporting him with light exercise and helping him downstairs (stairlift in-situ). Can include supporting with feeding, however this may not be necessary. Requires someone to clean his room once he is downstairs. Support is required to help to prevent falls.

Care Plan is in place by health this will continue to be updated as and when required.

Someone who is reliable and trustworthy. Someone who will become part of the family dynamics and form a good working relationship with gentleman and his wife. Role to be discussed further at interview.

DBS/Reference checks will be required for this post - Cost to be met by the local authority.
