Driver Hire Glasgow are currently looking for x3 7.5T drivers with delivery experience for DFS/The Sofa Delivery Co. in Baillieston.

Working on a 4 on 4 off basis, doing 12 hour shifts

Think Customer

● Complete all deliveries into customers’ homes in a safe and professional manner, without causing any damage to furniture or customers’ property. A degree of flexibility may be needed at time to complete some deliveries


● Communicate effectively with the customer prior to delivery to ensure that they know you’re on your way to their address


● Ensure furniture is delivered to the room requested by the customer and that we do not leave them with any rubbish to dispose of


● Ensure your PDA is used on all deliveries to record your activity, as this will be used for in-day tracking for your upcoming customers


● Ensure that all deliveries are checked before completing to ensure that there are no issues or concerns

● Continually strive for exceptional customer feedback, receiving high customer NPS scores and working with your team to share best practices


● Represent The Sofa Delivery Company values and those of our brand partners in everything that you do


● Work with your team and senior managers to provide feedback and continually improve the standards of service we offer


● Maintain an up to date knowledge of the businesses furniture portfolio


Be Real


● Carry out daily inspections of allocated vehicle and equipment, informing the line manager of any defects/missing items immediately


● Comply with all driving laws as defined by the government and all company policies and procedures


● Ensure that any damages to customer property or furniture is reported to your manager as soon as possible, following the correct reporting processes


● Work in line with The Group’s policies and procedures

● Hold a 7.5T Licence, Digi Tacho, CPC Card and valid UK manual driving licence (minimum 12 months, max 6 points).

● Uphold brilliant standards of personal presentation every day

● Professional conduct at all times when representing the Company to its customers

● Physically able to complete the requirements of the role, as part of a two-person delivery team

● Experience of working as part of a strong, well-functioning team

Be great with people and enjoy helping customers.

● Have strong time management skills and thrive on variety.

● Carry out the job safely and using all PPE provided to ensure that all deliveries are completed with safety in mind
