Job Opportunity

Job Purpose:

Provide hands-on assistance to the Finance Manager and support to the Finance Team to ensure a quality service is being provided to internal and external stakeholders.

Support the day-to-day workings of the Finance Team enabling improved business performance through accurate recording of financial information.

Key Task Areas:

  • Undertake administrative duties associated with the processing of purchase orders, invoices, and credit notes.
  • Preparing BACS runs for payment.
  • Cash handling and banking imports for NTT (Sales and Customer Experience)
  • Control and perform petty cash administration
  • Assisting Finance Team with general administration.
  • Providing holiday and sickness cover within the Finance Team as directed by the Finance Manager.
  • Support Finance Team in preparation of Month End schedules (Accruals, Pre-Payments etc.)
  • Assisting with the annual external audit

  • To be aware of and adhere to policies and procedure related to Safeguarding.
  • To be aware of and adhere to any legislative requirements consistent with the overall duties of this post, with particular regard to Health and Safety policies and procedures, General Data Protection Regulations and Equal Opportunities.
  • To undergo relevant training and development required by the Finance Manager.
  • To carry out any other tasks that will, from time to time, be allocated by the Finance Manager on an ad hoc or continuing basis, commensurate with the general level of responsibility of the post.

Additional Information

Hours of work: 15 hour per week over a minimum of three days (working pattern to be agreed with successful candidate)

Salary: £9,527.03 - £10,135.14 per annum (FTE £23,500 - £25,000)


Essential Skills

Experience

• Previous experience of computerised systems

• Previous experience of cash handling

• Experience of implementing / maintaining administrative systems/procedures

• Attending meetings and producing accurate minutes

Skills/Abilities

• Analytical approach to problem-solving

• Excellent IT skills in Microsoft Outlook, particularly Excel and Word

• Accurate and numerate

• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

• Excellent organisational skills

• Ability to work using own initiative

Desirable Skills

Experience

Previous experience of computerised purchase ledger operation.

Knowledge/Qualifications

• Computerised integrated accounting systems preferably Exchequer

• Technical knowledge of correct purchase ledger operation

• Computerised sales ledger

• Understanding and appreciation of performing arts and entertainment
