Job Description

The Graphic Clothing Designer is responsible for the conceptual creation and development of graphic artworks for Frasers Group own-brand categories for Sports Direct. They will understand manufacturing processes, production methods, and materials, and they must be able to manage a diverse workload whilst ensuring the highest standards.

Key Accountabilities:

  • As a graphics designer, the individual is responsible for designing and creating the artworks for all consumers.
  • Using their expertise and knowledge of manufacturing processes to ensure artworks are suitable for production.
  • The designer has a responsibility to ensure brand integrity is maintained through all aspects of the design process.
  • Must be able to work to a high level consistently in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Skills & Expertise:

  • The individual must be able to communicate and discuss designs with colleagues and commercial managers.
  • Knowledge of printing production ink standards, consistency of output, colour proofing.
  • Understand the costs of different qualities and processes to ensure it meets a desired specification within budget.
  • Understand different materials and production methods.
  • Creative approach to designing concepts and managing the handwriting style that effectively communicates the brand of the product to the end user, whilst adhering to the brand guidelines.
  • Creative and technical ability to take graphics, illustrations and photography through to artwork to send to manufacture.
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and skills.


Qualifications

  • 2-5 year previous experience in a design discipline
  • Experience in graphic design - Excellent knowledge in full Adobe Suite (illustrator and Photoshop are a must).
  • Any experience with Ai would be beneficial
  • Ability to generate ideas and concepts around product graphic briefs
  • Expertise in different qualities, techniques, materials, and finishings
  • Experience in working with factories
  • Able to follow end to end process from artworking through to execution
  • Confidence in identifying problems and making improvement suggestions
  • Project Management experience
  • proven track record of delivering complex projects.
  • Track record of using knowledge and experience to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Track record of managing & delivering to time and cost
  • Managing large volumes of SKUs
