Equans is looking for an Heating Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis.

This is a full time role to carry out repairs and maintenance work to the homes and properties repaired and maintained by the Company.

General Overview: 


The Heating Engineer is responsible for delivering high-quality installation, maintenance, servicing and repair of heating systems across residential and/or commercial properties. The role ensures compliance with current gas safety regulations, company standards, and customer requirements while working safely and efficiently to meet contractual targets and enhance customer satisfaction.

What will you deliver?

Install, service and repair domestic and/or commercial heating systems, including boilers, radiators, cylinders, pipework and controls.


Diagnose and resolve heating system faults efficiently to restore services with minimal disruption.
Ensure compliance with Gas Safe, manufacturer guidance and company procedures at all times.
Complete safety checks and certification (e.g. LGSRs Landlord Gas Safety Records).
Deliver work to agreed timescales and quality standards, meeting contractual KPIs.
Maintain accurate job records and documentation using company systems.
Promote a positive customer experience, representing the company professionally.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, supervisors and subcontractors to support team objectives.
Identify and report additional works or potential improvements (e.g. energy efficiency upgrades).
Comply with HSE legislation, RAMS, safeguarding, and site protocols.

Who are we looking for?


Essential:

ACS Gas Certificates (current and valid), including: CCN1 Core Gas Safety


CENWAT Boilers & Water Heaters Full UK Driving Licence
Proven experience in heating installation, maintenance and breakdown work
Strong working knowledge of Gas Safety (Installation & Use) Regulations
Experience working in domestic properties or commercial sites

Desirable:

NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing/Heating (or equivalent)


Unvented Hot Water (G3) certification
Commercial Gas Qualifications (CODNCO1, CIGA1, CORT1, TPCP1A)
Energy Efficiency certification
Experience in social housing or construction sector
OFTEC or Renewable Heating (Air Source Heat Pump/BPEC) certification
