Driver Hire Stockport are currently recruiting for experienced HGV Class 2 (Cat C) Drivers to work for a variety of our clients across the SK postcode. We have work available Monday through to Friday, we ask that you are flexible with the days and hours you can work but we can also work around your availability. The start times vary depending on the client but usually between 5am-8am starts.

We have various contracts available such as multi- drop, flatbed, and general haulage work with roughly 50 clients supplied on a weekly basis.


Duties of this HGV Driver will include:

Driving HGV Class 2 vehicle responsibly and safely, obeying all traffic laws.


Carrying out required daily vehicle checks to ensure procedural compliance.
Maintaining regular contact with Branch Managers on daily progress.
Completing paperwork accurately as instructed.
Assist with loading and unloading the vehicle when necessary.

Client Requirements:

A Valid Cat C Licence (HGV Class 2)


A Valid CPC Card
A Valid Digital Tacho Card
6 month of relevant driving experience (Preferred)
No more than 6 points (No DD’s, DR’s, IN’s, TT’s endorsements)

PAY RATES:


£15.68ph– Minimum 8 hours paid


£22.05ph- Paid after 8 hours


This rate of pay has holidays accrual included within the hourly rate, if you wish to accrue these separately then this rate will become £14.70ph and £19.68ph overtime.
