Driver Hire Stockport is actively recruiting HGV Class 1 (C+E) and Class 2 (C) drivers for a wide range of assignments across the SK postcode area.


Whether you’re looking for full-time, part-time, or ad-hoc shifts – we offer flexible opportunities to fit your lifestyle.

What We Offer:


Flexible shifts – start times typically between 5:00am and 8:00am




Varied work – general haulage, flatbed, day & night shifts




 Weekly work with over 40+ local customers




Supportive, friendly team




Weekly pay via PAYE


Duties Include of this HGV Driver:


Safe and responsible driving of HGV Class 1 or 2 vehicles




Conducting daily vehicle checks




Keeping in contact with our branch team on progress




Completing paperwork accurately and on time


Requirements of our HGV:


Valid Cat C or Cat C+E Licence




Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph Card




Minimum 6 months’ relevant experience




No DDs, DRs, INs, or TTs




Good time management and reliability


Pay Rates (Paid Weekly via PAYE):


HGV Class 1 (C+E):


£17.59/hr – Minimum 8 hours paid




£23.53/hr – Overtime (after 8 hrs)
If you prefer to accrue holiday pay separately: £15.70/hr & £21/hr overtime


HGV Class 2 (C):


£16.47/hr – Minimum 8 hours paid




£22.05/hr – Overtime (after 8 hrs)
If you prefer to accrue holiday pay separately: £14.70/hr & £19.68/hr overtime
