Do you believe every child deserves the chance to thrive, no matter their background or ability? GSL Education are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Inclusion Support Assistant to join a nurturing and inclusive school in the Derby area.

This rewarding role is ideal for someone who has a passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning, promoting confidence, emotional wellbeing, and success within an inclusive classroom environment.

As an Inclusion Support, you will:


  • Providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils with additional needs.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional resilience.
  • Working closely with teachers and SENCOs to ensure every pupil feels supported.
  • Assisting in adapting learning materials and strategies to meet individual needs.
  • Promoting inclusion, equality, and a positive learning culture for all students.


Requirements for Inclusion Support:


  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN, SEMH, or additional needs (desirable).
  • A caring, patient, and empathetic nature with a genuine love for working with young people.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A proactive attitude and the ability to make learning accessible and enjoyable.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years of employment, with explanations for any gaps.
