Job Description

We're looking for an Oracle Fusion HCM Technical Architect responsible for designing and overseeing the technical implementation of Oracle's Human Capital Management (HCM) Cloud solutions for UK public sector clients. This role requires a deep understanding of both business processes and technical architecture, guiding projects through the SDLC and translating complex solutions for diverse audiences for ensuring the successful delivery of complex projects Your role As an Oracle Fusion HCM Technical Architect, you'll be instrumental in providing impactful technical solutions to our clients. Your focus will be on the technical aspects of the implementation of Oracle Fusion HCM modules including reports, integrations and Data migration. You'll need a deep understanding across various Oracle HCM Cloud modules Core HR, recruitment, Learning, Talent Management, UK Payroll, Pension, OTL and Absence, backed by practical experience in the UK public sector. You'll also lead client engagements, discussing integrations, data migrations, and reporting across relevant modules. A key part of your role is translating complex Functional and technical solutions into clear insights for diverse audiences, from technical teams to senior management. You'll guide projects through the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring smooth delivery and top system performance. ResponsibilitiesLead and execute the implementation of Oracle Fusion HCM for UK clients. Utilize extensive knowledge of HCM technical tools, including HCM Data Loader (HDL), HCM Extract, BI reporting, Fast Formulas, and Payroll Batch Loader. Effectively discuss complex functional and technical solutions with diverse audiences, including technical, business, and management teams, walkthrough of data mapping documents, environment planning, Testing, and Change Requests Lead customer discussions pertaining to integrations, data migrations, and reports related to Payroll, OTL, Absence, and other relevant modules Apply comprehensive knowledge and experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including Conference Room pilots (CRPs)/Playback sessions, training content preparation and imparting Training for technical components Required12+ years of progressive experience in IT, with a minimum of 8 years as Oracle Fusion HCM Technical Architect with Oracle HCM Cloud. A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred, though equivalent experience will be considered. Translating functional requirements into technical solutions. This involves creating and maintaining Fast Formulas for payroll, absence, and benefits and developing complex reports using BI Publisher. Designing, building, and testing integrations between Oracle HCM Cloud and other systems. This requires expertise with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), HCM Extracts, and HCM Data Loader (HDL) to manage data flowing into and out of the system. Leading the technical aspects of data migration, including extraction, data cleansing, transformation, and loading using HDL. You'd be responsible for ensuring data integrity and accuracy during the migration process. Translating the security model designed by the architect into tangible configurations. You would be responsible for building and assigning custom roles and security profiles to ensure data access is strictly controlled based on the requirements Using Redwood enablement tools to customize the user interface and enhance the user experience Acting as the go-to person for all technical questions from the project team. You would mentor junior developers and provide oversight to ensure all technical work meets quality standards. Reviewing the technical design documents and code developed by the team. This ensures the solution is scalable, maintainable, and adheres to best practices. Proactively identifying technical risks and issues during the implementation. This involves troubleshooting technical problems and developing solutions to keep the project on track. Managing the Oracle HCM Cloud environments (Dev, Test, UAT, Prod) and handling the migration of configurations and code between them. Playing a key role throughout the SDLC, from technical design and build to testing and post-go-live support. You'd also be involved in managing the technical aspects of system updates and patches. Hands-on experience with UK Public Sector clients is a key requirement. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to proactively identify and mitigate technical, functional, and security risks. Expertise in Agile/Scrum and Waterfall project management methodologies. Experience and desire to work in a global delivery environment. Preparation of Status reports with RAG, highlighting risks and mitigations and maintaining RAID log Preferred Excellent communication and presentation skills are critical. You must be able to translate complex technical concepts into business terms for C-level executives and non-technical stakeholders, as well as provide detailed technical guidance to implementation teams. Work closely with the change management team to ensure the new solution is well-received and adopted by end-users Experience managing team size of 10+ would be a plus Personal Besides the professional qualifications of the candidates, we place great importance in addition to various forms personality profile.
