We currently have an exciting new opportunity for an M&E Building Services Supervisor to support our multi-site Barking Schools contract where Equans provides total FM services at two secondary schools.

Key activities: 

Supervise the M&E team to ensure all work is carried out to contract specification and client satisfaction 


To undertake PPM and reactive works ensuring that all jobs are completed in line with SLAs, KPIs and CPIs
To ensure the speedy and correct allocation of work so that jobs are completed in accordance with the performance monitoring system
Assist with the planning and organising of work for both direct and contract labour to ensure cost and time targets are met including allocating and controlling overtime organising out-of-hours emergency works
Order materials and services, maintain records, control stock, provide engineers reports, etc
Assist with estimates, site measurements and cost control information; to identify chargeable works and ensure these are properly recorded 
Liaise with the client when required to resolve any issues
To organise and participate in the out of hours on-call rota
Working 40 hours per week, from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday

 Skills, qualifications & experience: 

Must hold a recognised electrical or mechanical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant electrical or mechanical discipline with suitable industry experience.


Must have supervisory experience and good people management skills (appraisals, training, recruitment, team briefings, )
Strong IT skills including Word, Excel and Outlook; any experience with Maximo an advantage
Proven track record of maintenance/hard services within Facilities Management
Strongly client focused, able to take ownership of projects/issues and resolve
A proactive, flexible, can-do approach
Successful applicants will be subject to a criminal records check due to working alongside children
