We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Building Services Engineer to join our estates team at the John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford. This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm.


Key activities

Reporting to the Technical Services Manager


Act as Lead Technician for the site providing a thorough understanding of mechanical ventilation building services installation and maintenance techniques, including Medical Gas and F Gas.
Apply trade skills and experience, including one to one training to members of the team.
Ensure the satisfactory completion of statutory obligations and the completion of allocated maintenance, breakdown repairs, installation, new and refurbishment works, all within the SLA and KPIs applied to site.
To be an Authorised Person for up to three disciplines.
Carry out maintenance/repair on mechanical ventilation services to plant and equipment across the site, including supervising both in-house staff and contractors
Carry out refurbishments and new works across the site all within KPI and SLA targets
Working 40 hours per week, from 8am to 5pm with a one hour unpaid break, Monday to Friday

Skills, qualifications & experience

Must hold a recognised mechanical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant mechanical discipline with suitable industry experience;


Must have a proven track record within maintenance / hard services
Must be strongly Client focussed and able to take ownership of projects
Must have good IT skills with experience in the use of CAFM systems, word and excel
Subject to a DBS Check
