DEPARTMENT: Men's First team Analysis Department
JOB FUNCTION: Lead delivery and support to the set piece coach with detailed analysis on opponent teams, along with Chelsea match and training reviews.
LOCATION: Cobham (Plus travel to domestic and international locations)
CONTRACT: Permanent / full time

PLAY YOUR PART (Main Responsibilities):
To support and assist the set piece coach with all aspects of set play analysis and execution, both at the training ground and on match days
Provide detailed pre-match analysis on upcoming opponents, breaking down their strategies, strengths and weaknesses
Ability to present reviews, ideas and solutions to the coach
In-game analysis: support the set play process during matches, focusing on pre-match set up and actionable feedback during the games
Provide game-plan reviews on team and players level with the set piece coach
Proactively provide insights on player and team development throughout the season, constantly reviewing performances and delivering feedback with video and data.
Assist the set piece coach on the training field where required
Maintain and organise required reference / performance databases
Proactive study of set piece trends and keeping up to date on what’s happening around the footballing world

HERE TO WIN (Measures of Performance):
Provide actionable insights and consistent delivery of analysis / support to the set piece coach
Ability to work within tight and demanding time frames
Proactive with finding solution to solve problems and find applicable interventions
Be able to work within a team and communicate effectively between analysts and coaches

PROUD TO BE CHELSEA (Person Specification):
Qualifications:
Essential to hold a undergraduate degree in Performance Analysis or in a Sports related subject.
Desirable to have relevant football coaching qualification, or / analysis qualification
Desirable to have Drone Pilot License.

Experience:
Minimum of 3 years working as a Performance Analyst in an elite sporting environment.
Ideally has worked for a minimum of 1 year specifically on Set piece analysis

Skills and Behaviours:
Excellent organisational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (second language would be a benefit).
Excellent visualisation and presentation skills (Keynote and PowerPoint)
Excellent knowledge and experience using HUDL Sportscode & Studio, Keynote and PowerPoint (other product knowledge of SBG, Second Spectrum, PowerBi would also be beneficial)
Excellent football understanding with the ability to communicate clearly with coaches and players using analysis recourses.
Excellent ability to be able to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
Willingness to be flexible with working hours in line with team schedule.
