Description

Davies are looking to recruit a dedicated Team Manager to support our busy claims team in Preston. Joining Davies as our new Team Manager means that you’ll play a key part in managing a team dedicated to the management of claims for numerous clients. So, you’ll need to come to us with a strong Claims background, and the appetite to lead a team in a fast-paced and continually evolving environment.



What will your day look like:


  • Ownership and oversight of the claims handling team, including management of team workload
  • Managing a mixture of remote and office based claims handlers
  • Development of claims handlers to achieve client SLA’s via support and coaching
  • Ensure a high level of staff engagement
  • Attend Client Review Meetings where appropriate
  • Conducting regular performance and audit reviews, include annual PDR’s
  • Managing claims handler absences
  • Continuous improvement focus leading excellent customer service and technical delivery of claims
  • Complaint escalation point
  • Ensure Key Performance Indicator targets are reached and maintained.
  • Oversight of payment audit approval process to defined limits
  • Involvement in recruitment and interview processes for claims handler/administrator roles

  • The confidence and gravitas to act as an efficient escalation point: Claims and team related queries / Complaints. Experience of Customer Service and Claims Management in an insurance background.
