Year 3 SEND Support Teaching Assistant | Occupational Therapy Graduate Job

If you’ve got a background in occupational therapy and a passion for betttering the future of children, this role might be for you. A welcoming primary school in Denton is looking for a compassionate and switched-on Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in Year 3 with SEND. Located in a friendly community in Denton, this primary school offers a warm, supportive environment where young children develop essential early skills and build the confidence they need for a lifetime of learning. What you will be doing:


  • Providing one-to-one support to a year 3 pupil with complex needs
  • Helping your pupil feel calm, confident and included
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
  • Helping children develop their communication, social, and fine motor skills through creative play and hands-on activities.
  • Creating a safe, encouraging space where every child feels valued and included.
  • Core hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 – 15:30


About you:


  • Recent occupational therapy graduate or similar with a passion for working with young children.
  • Patient, empathetic, and ready to make a difference in the lives of young learners.
  • Great communication skills and a natural ability to connect with children.
  • Willing to get stuck in, learn on the job, and bring energy to every day.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
