The Recipe To provide leadership to the manufacturing facility of the bakery, with a focus on HSE, food safety and cost, meeting deadlines and targets. Driving a continuously improving environment to maximise Bakery and team performance and ensure that fresh, quality products reach the Internal customers both on time and in full.

Key Accountabilities and Measures
Lead the manufacturing team to deliver the annual HSE plan and drive the HSE culture change through team engagement, involvement and responsibility for HSE activities
Lead the manufacturing processes to ensure that all internal and external food safety standards and requirements are met. 
Ensure that effective systems are set up and followed to ensure all products are manufactured to specification.
Ensure that product complaints are minimised and dealt with promptly and effectively.
All trials are planned and executed to plan.
Continuous Improvement opportunities identified and projects delivered to completion.
Identify and manage the execution of site-based projects.
Lead, motivate, develop and coach the manufacturing team to ensure they achieve all agreed KPI’s, personal targets and development plans as identified in their role profiles and via performance review meetings. 
Manage underperformance promptly through regular reviews and appropriate actions plans
Develop revenue and capital budgets and manage expenditure to ensure budget targets are achieved.
Performance - ensure that all employees are aware of the Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) that they are accountable and responsible for within each of the departments within Operations. Essential Ingredients Essential Knowledge:

Knowledge and experience of management in an FMCG environment.
HS&E / Food Safety systems and & legislation knowledge e.g. HACCP, COSHH, IOSH - able to ensure a safe working environment for self and others.
Warburtons quality systems – able to ensure the teams outputs meet required quality standards.
IT & PC knowledge – able to use widespread functions within the relevant software. (inc MS Office and SAP)
Knowledge and experience of bread making process, plant & technology.
Knowledge of HR policies and the law in relation to employment of people.
Understand the overall company strategy and plans and has a broad understanding of the work of other functions and departments in the business

Coaching and mentoring skills – takes responsibility for training and coaching of others.
Influencing and negotiating skills – maintains attention when speaking to groups of people/ negotiating and conflict management/develops persuasive arguments /demonstrates flexibility in influencing style.
Analysing and problem-solving skills – anticipates problems before they occur and takes steps to deal with them/correctly and swiftly identifies the underlying problem& finds appropriate solutions.
Time & project management skills – uses project management techniques to create effective plans with milestones/identifies areas of risk & plan contingency/monitors and communicates work & project progress.
Innovating skills – develops innovative approaches to non-routine, complex issues.
Decision making skills – makes timely decisions/takes account of the wider risk & implications.
Experience & understanding of process capability. 
Strategic thinking skills – contributes to the development and delivery of the site manufacturing strategy. 
Management leadership skills - inspires others to perform and uses a range of management styles, deals effectively with performance issues and creates a sense of trust in the team.
Engineering Qualification (preferred)
Lean manufacturing – Implementation and management of lean processes, e.g. SMED/5S/TPM Extra Dough At last and by no means yeast you will want to know what your breads worth:
