About the role

Connex Education is partnering with a primary school in Llanelli, Swansea & Neath Port Talbot and surrounding areas to recruit an experienced Teaching Assistant. This role involves supporting the class teacher with behaviour management, delivering targeted instruction, and assisting with a range of classroom activities. You will work closely with pupils to reinforce learning, provide one-to-one support, and contribute to creating a positive and engaging learning environment.

Assignment details

As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will work across EYFS, KS1, and KS2, supporting the class teacher with lesson delivery, classroom behaviour management, and providing individual or small group support. You will assist in preparing learning materials, tracking pupil progress, and fostering a positive, inclusive environment. Your role will be key in helping young learners develop essential academic skills while supporting their social and emotional growth.

Person Specification


  • Aged 18 and over
  • C or above in Maths and English GCSE or equivalent
  • DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain one
  • EWC registered
