Based just south of Cambridge, we design and manufacture electronic-scanning ground radarsystems for national border security, counter-drone, perimeter security, wide area surveillance and coastlinesecurity. Our radars have a reputation for reliability and are protecting lives and critical assets worldwide.
Working closely with our team of expert and experienced engineers on a wide range of manufacturing support
activities, you will be responsible for documenting the specification of products throughout their lifecycle along
with associated test and production requirements and records. As the technical contact for our outsourced
manufacturing facilities and component suppliers, developing close working relationships with them will be critical.
You will also support in-house radar testing, and our design engineers.
Position in the organisation (reporting lines)
* Reporting to the Senior Manufacturing Engineer
* Working closely with the Production and Design Engineering teams
Key Accountabilities
* Maintaining accurate product specification, test and build records in our PLM database
* Drafting and ensuring accurate implementation of ECRs
* Providing support during radar test
* Liaising with manufacturing and component suppliers on technical matters,
* Advising on potential challenges in supply, including any obsolescence issues
* Providing information to aid component and source approval
* Support the team with electronic and mechanical assembly if required
Key Measure of Success
* Records are accurate and up to date
* Suppliers and Blighter engineering teams have the technical support they need
* Timely and accurate reports are produced as required

Experience/Qualifications
* Understanding of electronic and mechanical engineering processes
* Familiarity with technical drawings (specifications, drawings)
* Experience with PLM systems
* Experience of electronic (including PCBA) and mechanical assembly
* CAD capability an advantage
* Full UK driving licence
