Responsibilities

:

1. Risk Evaluation & Technical Underwriting
Assessplex casualty risks and apply underwriting guidelines and pricing models to ensure profitable risk selection and drive profitable growth
2. Broker & Client Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients to drive new business and renewals. Represent thepany in market-facing activities, including client presentations, broker meetings, industry events, and at conferences Position Hiscox as a go to market for US Liability within Lloyd's
3. Product & Coverage Development
Contribute to the development of new products in response to emerging risks and client needs Collaborate with wordings specialists and legal teams to tailor policy wordings, especially for manuscript non-standard placements
5. Leadership & Mentorship
Support junior underwriters through coaching, referrals, and technical guidance. Contribute to team development and knowledge sharing
6.ernance &pliance
Ensure underwriting decisionsply with internal authority limits and external regulatory requirements.
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience in liability, with a strong understanding of underwriting principles and risk assessment Excellent trading and negotiation skills, with the ability to clearlymunicateplex information to both brokers and clients. Strong ability to build, develop, and maintain broker relationships and network effectively. Proficiency in leveraging data and analytics to identify and manage risks. Strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to mentor and guide junior underwriters. Decisive in nature, displaying good judgement in decisions and taking accountability Self-starter with a high level of achievement Great organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment:
Office-based for up to 3 days a week Requires US travel 1-4 times per year (length of week or less each time)
