Salary / Rate of pay: £32,000 to £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

What's involved?

As the Sous Chef, you will be providing positive guidance to a team of chefs and leading and motivating the team in the Head Chef's absence. The Sous Chef will work closely with the Head Chef, assisting in the planning and execution of menus, ensuring that the dishes are produced to a consistently high standard using quality, fresh ingredients; locally sourced where possible. You will also be involved in recruitment as well as the training and development of the team.

The successful Sous Chef will have previous experience in creating mouthwatering dishes using fresh ingredients and will be able to bring some of their own dishes to life from the menus. You will monitor portion and waste control to maintain profit margins whilst ensuring you and your team have high standards of food hygiene and health and safety at all times.
