Active Neuro, the specialist division of Active Care Group, is transforming neurorehabilitation in the UKand we're looking for Band 6 Occupational Therapists to join our team in Birmingham, supporting adults with acquired or traumatic brain injury, neurological conditions, and complex needs, helping them regain independence, confidence, and quality of life.

The role:

As a Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions for individuals with complex neurological needs.
  • Manage a varied caseload, providing specialist OT input tailored to individual goals.
  • Keep up to date with current treatment approaches and contribute to service improvement initiatives within your specialist area.
  • Support the integration of specialist rehabilitation technologies into everyday practice, aligned with our 24-hour rehabilitation model.
  • Participate in audits and assist with monitoring and evaluating service effectiveness.
  • Work collaboratively with MDT colleagues to ensure coordinated, person-centred care.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior staff when needed, especially in complex cases.
  • Follow and promote risk management and safety procedures consistently.
  • Maintain positive and professional relationships with colleagues, visitors, and carers.
  • Contribute to quality improvement projects, outcome measurement, and clinical governance activities.

About you:

We're looking for a skilled, compassionate professional with:

  • HCPC registration.
  • Post-qualification experience in neurorehabilitation or complex care (including ABI/TBI).
  • Well-developed clinical reasoning skills and a commitment to person-centred practice.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and contribute to a positive team culture.
  • Enthusiasm for developing skills, embracing innovation, and contributing to service improvement.
  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS.
