With more than two decades' experience building cyber insurance solutions and handling cyber claims our cyber team is one of the most established and experienced providers in the market. 

We're currently the top market for Canada and Australia and looking for someone to join our growing international team, focussing on SME business in these territories. 

Department Cyber - International Employment Type Permanent - Full Time Location UK - London Workplace type Hybrid Reporting To Harry Hill

About the role

As a Cyber Underwriter you will work closely with the Team Leader on International business across non-U.S. territories with a particular focus on Canada and Australia. You will be responsible for the day-to-day underwriting of cyber risks and everything that comes with it, including relationship management, broker development and, at times, work travel.

Excellent customer service is at the centre of everything we do, so an important part of our day is time spent on the phone with brokers. As well as underwriting of accounts and business development, you will have exposure to other teams within CFC including actuarial, claims and online platforms.

Underwrite new business cyber policies and larger key renewals;

Deal with enquiries from all brokers, with focused broker development on key partners;

Put up quotes in an efficient manner, in line with service standards;

Business development duties including meeting with brokers and clients, raising awareness of cyber and our products and development focused international travel. 

Continued development of technical knowledge, both from a risk and underwriting perspective; 

About you

We’re looking for driven, self-starters with a strong work ethic. You should be curious to learn and improve your underwriting ability and understanding of IT security. As one of the largest cyber underwriting teams in the world, we want people that work well as part of a team. You don’t need to have any previous cyber underwriting experience, just 3-5 years of commercial underwriting or broking experience and a willingness to learn.
You will be expected to work at a high pace and intensity that underpins the successful framework of the CFC business. 

A good understanding of PI insurance or Liability insurance and working towards ACII would be preferred.
