Children’s Social Worker – UASC

Liverpool City Council have a unique opportunity for an experienced (plus 3yrs post. qualified) social worker to join their UASC (Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children) Service.

You will have a strong background in UASC with experience in completing age assessments (this is essential), with a robust understanding of immigration and housing legislation and looked after children and leaving care relevant statutory guidance and processes.

Liverpool City Council have a stable, permanent team manager and service manager group, you will be supported in your practice by your manager and receive regular reflective supervision. 

Liverpool can offer:

•               an initial 3-month minimum contract to create stability for our children and young people

•               up to £42 per hour ltd, based on experience

•               A 35-hour week

•               A supportive and permanent team and manager

•               Regular supervision

•               ICT Kit and support

•               Hybrid working model, at least 3 days in Liverpool per week

The city is well connected by rail, and road and is easily accessible and commutable from nearly cities and towns.
