Electrical Maintenance Engineer - The Rewards Salary up to £48,000 4 on 4 off - 2 days / 2 nights Company Pension Overtime available Discounted staff shop Onsite parking Electrical Maintenance Engineer - Requirements 1-2 years experience ideally in a manufacturing background Experience in electro-mechanical maintenance background in a large-scale heavy industrial manufacturing environment Installation, calibration, troubleshooting and repair of electrical equipment and distribution systems Blueprint/schematic reading, access and read electrical, pneumatic and mechanical drawings Relevant qualification, NVQ, Diploma, Degree in Electrical Engineering 18th Edition advantageous Electrical Maintenance Engineer - Responsibilities Perform scheduled and planned maintenance repairs of equipment, as well as emergency/unscheduled repairs of mill equipment during unplanned shutdowns Capable of repairing electrical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic & hydraulic devices Perform preventative maintenance on machines and equipment throughout the mill Safely use all hand and power tools. After onsite training and certification, safely use aerial lift equipment, fall protection, etc. Troubleshoot and diagnose problems related to electrical failure, report conditions, and recommend steps to be taken Perform preventative maintenance such as changing contacts, checking motors, according to instructions PLC knowledge will be an asset Install cables, conduit, for new equipment or replacing old one Strong communication skills, and a team-player attitude Collaborate with other team members as necessary to resolve problems and determine the roots cause Reads and uses all types of electrical schematic wiring diagrams. Perform or assist with operations, as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements. Maintain safe work area and comply with safety procedures and equipment operating rules keeping work area in a clean and orderly condition. Participate in a variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
