Engineering Technician

£35,000 - £40,000 | Permanent

Our client is an aerospace and defence SME, engaged in both private and government security contracts. Their technology is characterized by low power consumption, minimal maintenance requirements, and the ability to operate continuously in harsh environments.

This position offers an opportunity for an engineering technician with hands-on electromechanical experience to join a well-established team, supporting both Engineering and Production functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Prototype assembly
  
  
• Repair, maintain, and assemble radar systems and sub-assemblies.
  
  
• Test and configure systems in coordination with the Test Technician.
  
  
• Design and build prototype test jigs.
  
  
• Maintain documentation and ensure process compliance.
  
  
• Support drone operations and field trials (local and occasional travel).
  
  
• Provide off-site support to customers and suppliers as needed.
  
  Skills & Qualifications
  
  
• HNC in Electronics/ Electrical Engineering.
  
  
• Strong analytical and technical skills in electronics.
  
  
• Hands-on experience with electronic/electromechanical systems
