Principal Systems Engineer

Location: LDN or Dorset (Remote with occasional travel)

Join a market leader in defence as a Principal Systems Engineer. This company specialises in undersea warfare systems, delivering cutting-edge sonar, torpedo defence, radar, and unmanned platform solutions.

This role, reporting to the Project Engineering Lead (and functional Line Manager), works closely with the Systems Design Authority as part of a multidisciplinary team. It involves working across Technology Readiness Levels, enhancing an existing product (including managing obsolescence), and supporting developers, design reviews, and customer engagements.

Key Qualifications for this Principal Systems Engineer Role:

  1. Experience in designing complex products.
  2. Systems design expertise with knowledge of Electronics, Mechanical, and Software domains.
  3. Proficiency across the development lifecycle, from design to integration, verification, validation, and qualification.
  4. Strong skills in trade-off analysis.

Flexible Work Options:Optional 9-day fortnight, TOIL, flexible hours, and a 1pm finish on Fridays.
