The Role:

So, what will you be doing as a Project Engineering Lead?

Join a proud, close-knit team working on a high-profile, strategically important project within our organisation, offering excellent growth opportunities.

You will report to the Project Manager, with the Head of Systems Engineering as your functional Line Manager.

You will lead the engineering activities for production projects, ensuring the project scope is met within committed timescales and budget, in accordance with approved engineering management plans.

This role is ideal for an experienced engineering leader with a proven track record in engineering management and team leadership, an understanding of complex engineering in a regulated industry, and experience guiding development across the product lifecycle.

What are we looking for in our next Project Engineering Lead?

• A foundation in Systems Engineering with an understanding of Software Engineering and ideally a background in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Experience of producing engineering schedules with dependencies
• Experience of engineering estimation, with an ability to review, challenge and justify estimates
• Experience of management of risks, assumptions, issues, decisions, and opportunities
• Ideally with experience of Work Package Management

Familiarity with sonar would be useful but is not essential.
