Key Responsibilities:

Carbon-Reduction Strategy: Develop carbon-reduction targets and a clear path to achieve them across multiple projects.
Education & Engagement: Lead the educational efforts to ensure teams understand and are committed to meeting sustainability goals, fostering a shared sense of responsibility and dedication to the cause.
Pre-Construction Leadership: Influence project development in its early stages, ensuring sustainability is embedded from the outset, and support bids with compelling, innovative sustainability strategies.
Embodied Carbon & Circular Economy: Spearhead the company's focus on reducing embodied carbon in projects and integrating circular economy principles into the design and construction process.
Sustainability Certifications: Oversee the acquisition of sustainability certifications for projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive the sustainability agenda and ensure all project partners are aligned with environmental objectives.

Experience: Experience in a sustainability-focused role within construction or infrastructure, with a strong understanding of carbon management and certifications.
Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to translate ambitious sustainability goals into practical action plans.
