Bid Writer required in Southeast London

GVR Solutions are currently representing a well-established main contractor, based in Southeast London, who is currently in the market for a Bid Writer to join their pre-construction team.

As a main contractor they provide project management services to the Construction industry working on both new build and Refurbishment projects in the Residential and Social housing sectors.

This is an integral position within the company, it is their job to work with the internal team, and other managers to increase the opportunity in securing future works.

Responsibilities of the Bid Writer:

  • Lead the preparation, writing, and coordination of bids, ensuring high-quality, persuasive, and fully compliant submissions.

  • Coordinate input from key stakeholders to ensure timely and effective collaboration.

  • Develop response outlines and structure content with relevant teams.

  • Maintain a database of company standard documents, bid evidence, case studies, team CVs, and lessons learned to streamline future submissions and support continuous improvement.

  • Ensure deadlines are met and submissions align with the tender programme.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, client expectations, and procurement processes.

  • Write, review, edit, and format responses for PQQs, SQs, ITTs, and RFQs, ensuring alignment with client requirements.

  • Develop compelling content that effectively communicates the company’s expertise, experience, and value proposition.

  • Proofread and refine proposals for clarity, consistency, and adherence to bid management standards.

  • Work with the Pre-Construction Manager to develop winning strategies and tailor responses.

  • Collaborate with teams such as Estimating, Contracts, Design, SHEQ, Social Value, and Quality to gather technical information for bids.

  • Attend site visits where required to enhance bid submissions with relevant project insights.

  • Create presentations for tender interviews and client meetings when required.
