Job Overview
As a Business Development Manager, you will be the face of the company, responsible for generating new business, nurturing client relationships, and identifying growth opportunities. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a results-driven environment and enjoys building connections, closing deals, and exceeding sales targets.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation & Networking: Proactively identify new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and attending industry events to expand our client base.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients, ensuring high-quality service and support.
  • Market Research & Strategy: Analyse market trends, assess competitor activity, and collaborate with the team to develop strategies for business growth.
  • Sales Target Achievement: Manage the sales cycle from initial contact to closing deals, consistently meeting or exceeding quarterly targets.
  • Collaboration & Reporting: Work closely with project managers and senior leadership to align on client needs and share progress updates.
    About You
  • Proven Experience: At least 2 years in business development, sales, or account management (construction sector experience preferred, but not essential).
  • Excellent Communicator: Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly.
  • Results-Driven: Motivated by success, with a passion for achieving and surpassing targets.
  • Tenacious & Persistent: Comfortable with prospecting and rejection, with the ability to turn cold leads into warm opportunities.
  • Highly Organised: Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Industry Knowledge: An understanding of the construction industry or related sectors is an advantage, but not essential.
