UHI Shetland is seeking a motivated and friendly Part-Time Cafeteria Assistant to join our team at Briggistane’s Café. This is a term-time position working 40 weeks per year, primarily covering the busy lunch period.

As part of a small, supportive team, you will deliver excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors, assist with the preparation of meals and snacks, and help maintain a clean, welcoming café environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide a customer-focused service with a friendly and approachable attitude Assist with meal and snack preparation and service Handle cash transactions confidently and operate tills and card machines (training will be provided) Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within the café

What We’re Looking For:

A positive, team-oriented approach Good communication skills and a commitment to excellent customer service Confidence in handling cash and payment systems is desirable but not essential, as full training will be given Flexibility with working hours within the core operating times
