Chef De PartieThe Wood House is a delightful pub situated at the top of the leafy Sydenham & Dulwich Woods. The Wood House boasts a huge pub & a large garden, but also cosy through the winter months with warm fires helping to set the ambience. Our pub features an outside bar & Burger Shack, heated huts with private screens & a heated garden which makes our pub a great event space all year round.
The Wood House is an extremely popular destination to watch sports such as Six Nations, World Cup, Euros & Wimbledon with 10 TV screens inside & out.
The pub has continued to go from strength to strength with a great kitchen team, led by our talented Head Chef Jaun & our General Manger Boyd who recently achieved General Manager of the Year at Young's.
We have a handsome pub dog Copper & a beautiful pub baby, Sebastian, we are a personable & unique team always looking at new opportunities to strive, whether it be events such as our yearly Christmas Market or developing our new afternoon tea & breakfast menu.
The Wood House is a great place to work because it feels like you are outside of London even though you are close to the centre, it's a destination pub, but also a great community pub with fantastic regulars! 7 minutes on the train to Brixton & 12 to Victoria. Our team is friendly & hardworking & its a great and busy pub to develop your skills.

What we look for in a Chef de Partie:

We
are looking for an existing Chef de Partie or an excellent Commis Chef looking
for their next step, who considers themselves to have a passion and flare for
producing quality fresh food in an environment that makes people feel welcome.
As the successful Chef de Partie you will:

Have experience championing excellent service
through quality food Demonstrate a passion to deliver fantastic food
every time Be an active hands-on Chef de Partie / Kitchen
Supervisor Show willingness to learn new skills, be an
active team player with excellent communication skills Working alongside your Head Chef, you will be
able to demonstrate your creativity and ability by helping to design and
deliver new dishes for our menus and daily specials Demonstrate great planning and organisational
skills, necessary to maintain effective controls with regard to both GP and
labour Have a pro-active approach to driving sales and
delivering growth, through engagement with both kitchen and front of house
teams
