Job Title: Commercial Director – Advisory & Agency
Location: Banbury, Oxfordshire 
Reports to: Managing Director
Salary: £75,000 – £90,000 + performance-based incentives

Avire specialise in providing innovative solutions for landlords of vacant commercial properties. By partnering with charities, we help landlords mitigate business rates while supporting charitable causes, ensuring properties remain compliant, operational, and beneficial to all stakeholders.

We are now seeking a commercially minded and ambitious Commercial Director to take a leading role in driving business growth, building strong client partnerships, and shaping our market presence. This is a pivotal position with direct impact on both the company’s trajectory and the success of our clients.

Role Summary
As Commercial Director, you will be responsible for spearheading business development, securing new landlord partnerships, and delivering strategic advice on commercial property and business rates mitigation. Alongside this, you will nurture long-term relationships with existing clients, providing expert guidance and ensuring service excellence.

You’ll be hands-on, client-facing, and comfortable travelling to meet both landlords and occupiers, acting as the trusted partner they turn to for advice and solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

Proactively identify, approach, and secure new landlord partnerships for temporary letting of vacant commercial properties.
Negotiate and close agreements that create win-win outcomes for landlords and occupiers.
Develop and execute strategic sales plans, supported by ongoing market research. Client Relationship Management

Act as the primary contact for landlords and key stakeholders.
Deliver performance updates, insight-led recommendations, and long-term partnership strategies.
Ensure client satisfaction, retention, and repeat business. Expert Guidance & Industry Insight

Provide subject matter expertise on commercial property and business rates mitigation.
Advise landlords on regulations, compliance, and benefits of partnering with charities.
Represent Avire at industry events, networking opportunities, and sector forums. Operational Excellence

Maintain accurate records of property details, deals, and client interactions.
Monitor performance against business growth targets and report on key metrics.
Collaborate internally to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery. Key Skills & Experience
RICS qualified (preferred) with a background in commercial agency, asset management, or property consultancy. Commitment to completing an IRRV Diploma within 12 months.
Successful history of winning and managing commercial property deals.
Strong understanding of business rates mitigation and vacant property challenges.
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly establish trust and credibility.
A natural self-starter, commercially driven, and able to identify and execute growth opportunities. What We Offer
