Driver’s Mate – Coatbridge

People Solutions are currently recruiting for Driver’s Mates to support one of our key clients based in Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire as they enter their peak period. This position offers regular weekday work and the opportunity to develop within a professional and supportive environment.

Shifts: Monday to Friday (no weekends)
Start Times: 06:00 or 13:00 (depending on workload)
Rates of Pay: £12.21 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:
As a Driver’s Mate, your duties will include (but not be limited to):



  • Working alongside a driver as part of a two-person delivery team


  • Delivering and safely handling heavy goods such as furniture to customers’ homes


  • Placing items in the customer’s designated room of choice


  • Providing assistance within the warehouse when required


  • Maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach at all times


Essential Skills:
To be successful as a Driver’s Mate, you will need:



  • Good physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy items safely


  • Previous experience as a Driver’s Mate or in a warehouse/delivery role involving manual handling


  • Reliability, hard work, and a strong team ethic


  • Good communication and customer service skills


Training Provided:



  • Manual handling training provided


  • Full induction and on-the-job support from experienced team members


  • Ongoing development and industry-specific training
