About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a HV System Design Engineer to join our Engineering Design Team based in Eastleigh or Wrexham.

The Power Grids Design team are responsible for undertaking complex HV cable systems design and supporting the HV business in winning tenders and undertaking contracts for transmission and windfarm projects in the UK. As Senior Design Engineer, you will be responsible for HV System design activities required for tenders and contracts.

Responsibilities

Develop technical details and cost-effective cable system design proposals for customer enquiries and provide engineering support during contract execution.

Liaise with other Prysmian Affiliate Design teams as necessary to support the UK and participation in Prysmian Group Design coordination meetings and activities.

Ensure the maintenance of records of contracts for future reference.

Provide technical support, training and services to internal functions and Customers.

Drive product Approvals for UK Customers.

Qualifications & Requirements

Previous experience of HV systems design and involvement in complex, large scale projects is desirable.

Educated up to degree level or equivalent in Electrical Engineering

Preferably hold experience of Mathcad, however training can be given

Methodical thinker

Possess sound written and oral communication skills.
