Are you ready to lead ambitious fundraising initiatives at one of the most prestigious university colleges in the world? This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in transforming a dynamic graduate community, deeply embedded in a world-class academic institution.

This highly regarded graduate college is renowned for its focus on interdisciplinary excellence, bringing together students, academics, and practitioners in fields such as business and management, health and medicine, and the social sciences. Its egalitarian ethos fosters collaboration and innovation, creating an inspiring environment for students, fellows, and alumni.

The college is embarking on an ambitious decade-long plan to secure significant philanthropic funding that will redefine its estate, enrich the student experience, and solidify its financial future. As Head of Development, you will work closely with the Development Director and Principal to lead this transformative journey.

About the Role

As Head of Development, you will:

Design and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to significantly increase philanthropic income.
Build and nurture relationships with major donors, trusts, foundations, and corporate partners.
Champion fundraising initiatives across the college, engaging the entire community to support strategic priorities.
Develop tailored proposals and strategies to secure major gifts, with an emphasis on six- and seven-figure contributions.
Collaborate with the Development team to deliver innovative giving programs and ensure excellent donor stewardship.
What We're Looking For

To succeed in this role, you will have:

A proven track record of securing major gifts and building long-term relationships with high-value donors.
Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to inspire confidence and convey complex ideas persuasively.
Strategic vision and a proactive, self-sufficient approach to work.
A strong interest in education, social impact, and the unique mission of graduate colleges.
While prior experience in higher education or related sectors is desirable, candidates from diverse professional backgrounds who meet the fundraising criteria are warmly encouraged to apply.

Why Join Us?

In return, you'll enjoy:

A competitive salary and excellent benefits, including six weeks of paid holiday and enhanced maternity pay.
A hybrid working model, with flexibility to suit your needs.
A stunning work environment at the heart of Oxford's academic community, with access to college sports facilities, free lunches, and exclusive university perks.
The chance to make a lasting impact on the future of one of the world's leading educational institutions.
