We’re looking for an experienced and proactive Indirect Tax Analyst to join a FTSE250 organisation. You will support the Indirect Tax Manager in ensuring compliance with indirect tax obligations and some employment tax requirements. Your expertise in reviewing, analysing, and interpreting data will be vital in providing accurate and insightful tax advice to the broader business.

This role is approximately 90% remote, with travel required to the Portsmouth office once per month. Candidates must demonstrate their ability to thrive in and contribute to a successful remote team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and prepare VAT, CIS, and PSA returns/data.
Ensure timely submission of tax returns across the operations.
Standardise processes and procedures, including developing and reviewing documentation and work instructions.
Raise tax awareness across the business by engaging and building relationships.
Identify opportunities to improve indirect tax compliance processes and controls.
Continuously enhance systems and processes for more efficient tax reporting and compliance.
Provide indirect tax advice and support to the wider business as required.
Collaborate across functions with internal and external stakeholders.
Support indirect tax audits, including gathering required information and managing queries.
Assist on indirect tax projects and advisory work.
Review purchase invoices for Indirect Tax and CIS scheme tax using the Coupa purchase-to-pay system.
Technical Experience and Qualifications:

Experience in an indirect tax-focused role gained in either an in-house function or a top tier practice.
Strong analytical and interpretative skills, with a proven ability to problem-solve independently and business partner across a large business with a wide range of stakeholders.
Good to advanced levels of Excel and the confidence to provide VAT advice.

Stakeholder-focused, delivering accurate and timely outputs.
A strong team player who works collaboratively to achieve outcomes.
Effective under pressure, with excellent time management skills.
Clear and persuasive written and verbal communication skills.
