Brand new opportunity for an Inside Sales Account Manager to join our commercial sales team

This is predominately a desk-based role – 80% developing an existing account base of smaller customers, building a deeper knowledge of the customer and identifying opportunities to sell a broader range of Sharp products. 20% identifying and winning new accounts.
Working as part of a dynamic and collaborative team of technology professionals you will take a consultative and customer-centric approach, with a focus on delivering positive interactions and outcomes.

Based at the Wakefield office (WF3 2EE) with hybrid working - 3 days a week in the office and 2 days working from home

Salary + commission + benefits.

The role

  • Work collaboratively to maximise sales opportunities and promote the best customer experience

  • Achieve and surpass sales targets and KPIs in line with the sales objectives

  • Identify appropriate decision makers or stakeholders to better understand the procurement processes within existing or new accounts and transferring this knowledge to CRM

  • Understand and demonstrate USPs that differentiate Sharp from our competitors and why we are a good fit for their organisation

  • Work with account managers through all aspects of the sales process.

  • Work with account managers to deliver and follow up on e-mail campaigns – closing to a sale or appointment with the customer

  • Arrange appointments at stakeholder level for account managers or self as appropriate.

  • Effectively driving new business opportunities via campaigns, account managing and growing sales within a defined list of smaller existing customers

  • Generate and qualify own leads and close opportunities

  • Process own sales orders accurately and on time.

  • Use CRM system to keep customer records up to date, next actions in place, sales processes in real-time and accurate monthly sales forecasts

  • Use LinkedIn and/or other social platforms to connect and engage with potential new customers and to promote positive content

  • Attend and positively contribute towards regular planned sales meetings including personalised 1-2-1 sessions and regional team sales meetings

    Person specification

  • Previous experience in Sales/Account Management/Business Development/Telesales.

  • Previous experience dealing directly with commercial, corporate, or education sector.

  • Ideally experience of IT or technology sales

  • Proven track record of working within an activity driven sales environment

  • Broad understanding of how and why Technology and IT products are used in the workplace

  • Experience of working with a CRM system and an understanding of how this assists the role

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite

  • Experience in proposal writing and presenting solutions to existing and new clients

  • Hardworking, professional, and well presented

  • Customer centric, target focused and highly driven to achieve results

  • Ability to negotiate at senior management/director level

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Good time management, well organised and an ability to work under pressure

  • Commercially astute
