Job description


Our client, a leading civil engineering company, is currently seeking a Land Surveyor to join their team in the Banbury Area. As part of this role, you will support the Senior Land Surveyor in establishing and maintaining the site survey control network for the construction of a new high-speed rail link. You will be responsible for conducting various surveys, analyzing data, and preparing reports using specialist equipment and software.

Key Responsibilities:

Undertake land, topographic, hydrographic, and measured building surveys using specialist equipment such as robotics and 3D scanners. Analyze data using plans, maps, charts, and software like AutoCAD, Trimble Business Center, and GIS programs. Prepare survey drawings and present data to clients. Coordinate with Site Engineers for project implementation, plan changes, and deviations. Manage the registration and post-processing of Point Cloud Data. Conduct GNSS network surveying, precise traversing, and levelling. Manage drone surveys for earthwork measurements.

Job Requirements:

HND/degree in Land Survey, Geomatics, or equivalent. Significant experience in a similar role. Experience in preparing survey-related Method Statements and Risk Assessments. Expert knowledge of Trimble total stations, levels, and GNSS receivers. Excellent AutoCAD skills for 2D and 3D drawing production. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in using survey software like Trimble Business Center. Share
