Kpler's Onshore Assets Monitoring team is owning one of our key products - storage of commodities.

The Onshore Assets Monitoring team goal is to unveil the hidden. Through a combination of drone data, satellite images, and external sources, coupled with a layer of machine learning, we provide users global coverage of how much liquid is stored in which tank & underground facility, as well as who owns it. The team delivers both the final information as well as the means to map, ingest, and process the images & data sources. The scope of the team doesn't stop at Oil, we also provide LNG data to our users, be it about storage or about installation capacities.

As a Product Manager for our Onshore Assets Monitoring team, you will be at the central point between Technology, Business and Design. As such, you will create and own the roadmap, working hand-in-hand with the Tech Lead and the developers and data scientists of the team. Your focus will be, among others, to maintain high-level standards for the maturing Inventories product as well as to find and bring to life new opportunities.

Note: This role will be remote-first working from France, with a preference for Paris.

Responsibilities

    • Develop a deep understanding of the models and algorithms behind the Inventories and Installations metrics
    • Enrich your understanding and knowledge of Computer Vision
    • Propose and put in motion plans to enrich and consolidate these models and algorithms
    • Ensure seamless data delivery through web applications, APIs, and other raw data distribution pipelines
    • Build ambitious and innovative propositions to address our internal and external customers' needs
    • Engage customers to gather feedback, validate ideas, and ensure a smooth transition from the current architecture to the proposed one
    • Assess competition trends and functionalities to keep an edge
    • Manage and prioritise the requirements backlog to fit business needs in your crew
    • Follow the product governance best practices and agile methodologies
    • Work daily with the engineers, the data scientists, other crews and market analysts to solve problems, test features, and make decisions during development
    • Develop internal product training plans
    • Never stop learning and sharing.


Your experience:

    • You have experience with Computer vision coming from a previous experience in the industry
    • You have at least 2+ years experience as a product manager in B2B, delivering data-oriented products
    • You are rigorous and problem-solving oriented
    • You have good communication skills, being able to connect with Market Analysts, Engineering, and Product
    • You are bilingual or fluent in English (mandatory)

    • You have a data scientist background
    • You are interested in the commodities market and have good knowledge relative to either one coming from a relevant experience in the industry
    • You have an excellent analytical ability, are at ease with working with databases, and use complex data to deliver impactful products
    • You are proficient in PostgreSQL
