Job Title: Recruitment Consultant – Building Control & Surveying

Location: Liverpool, UK

Salary: £26,000 - £40,000 (plus commission)

About Us:

Confido Consult is a dynamic, niche recruitment agency specialising in the rapidly growing Building Control and Surveying markets. We provide both contract and permanent recruitment solutions to a wide range of clients, with a unique approach that sets us apart from our competition. Our specialist expertise, combined with a strong industry reputation, has established us as leaders in our markets, now presenting opportunity to add to our dream team!

With a market-leading commission structure and uncapped earning potential, we offer a rewarding environment with no external shareholders or silent partners – meaning we can afford to be generous!

What really sets us apart however is our culture. While our generosity will draw you in, it’s our supportive, fun, and motivating environment that will keep you with us.

We don’t follow the typical, numbers-driven KPI culture. Instead, we take a tailored, common-sense approach. Focus on quality, follow our lead, and you’ll perform without needing to make pointless calls just to hit a target. For us, it's about doing things the right way, not the traditional way.

At Confido, we also believe in having fun along the way. Our vibrant office, located in the heart of Liverpool’s waterfront, is designed for collaboration and relaxation. When you’re not advancing your career, you’ll find plenty of ways to unwind – from darts and table tennis to ‘wellbeing massages’, early finishes, company-funded socials, and constant incentives.

We’re specialists in our market, which means you’ll be working a ‘hot desk’ with plenty of jobs to make an impact on from day one. Thanks to our strong reputation, the opportunities are endless, meaning you'll have the perfect platform to thrive and progress (and quick!).

As part of a small but ambitious team, you’ll have the chance to be a key player in our growth story. You'll receive 1-2-1 support directly from the MD and be in pole position for promotion opportunities as we continue to expand. This is a unique chance to shape your career and grow alongside a business that truly wants nothing more than to see you succeed.

The Role:

We are looking for a 360 Recruitment Consultant (all grades considered) to join our team, focusing on sourcing, engaging, and placing top-tier talent within the Building Control & Surveying sectors (opportunity in both our contract, and permanent recruitment markets – tailored to suit). This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a high performing team, building strong client and candidate relationships, whilst contributing to a growing sector.

Key Responsibilities:

· Source and Identify Talent: Use a variety of recruitment tools to find top candidates

· Candidate Management: Guide candidates through the recruitment process, from initial contact to placement, ensuring a smooth and positive experience.

· Manage the Recruitment Cycle: Oversee the full recruitment cycle, including sourcing, interviewing, negotiating offers, and managing placements.

· Market Research: Stay up-to-date with market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities and provide insight to clients and candidates.

· Build and Manage Client Relationships: Establish strong, long-term relationships with clients, understanding their recruitment needs and providing tailored solutions.

· Business Development: Assist in the growth of the business by identifying new clients and job opportunities within your specialist markets.

· Work as Part of a Team: Collaborate with the wider team to share knowledge, ideas, and strategies for achieving collective success.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re looking for a motivated and ambitious Recruitment Consultant who is eager to take their recruitment career to the next level. The ideal candidate will bring the following skills and attributes:

· Proven Recruitment Experience: You’ll have a solid track record of sourcing and placing candidates, managing the full recruitment cycle, and achieving targets.

· Strong Communication Skills: Confident and effective communication with both clients and candidates is essential. You should be able to build strong relationships and offer tailored recruitment solutions.

· Goal-Oriented: You will be accustomed to working towards and exceeding personal and team targets, with a keen drive to meet and surpass KPIs.

· Experience in Business Development: A proactive approach to generating new business, building client relationships, and identifying growth opportunities within your market.

· Resilience and Drive: Recruitment can be demanding, so the ability to stay motivated, handle setbacks, and continue to push for results is key.

· Organisational Skills: You’ll manage multiple clients and candidates simultaneously, requiring excellent time management and prioritisation.

· Team Player with Leadership Potential: As part of a small team, you’ll need to collaborate effectively and could have the potential for mentoring and leadership opportunities as you progress.

· A Positive and Energetic Attitude: We’re a fun, vibrant team, and your positive energy will be crucial in maintaining our collaborative and high-performance culture.

What’s in it for You?

At Confido, we offer a range of attractive benefits designed to reward the valuable contribution you bring, whilst ultimately making sure you love working here:

· Market-Leading Commission Structure: Earn up to 35% commission with no cap.

· No Threshold: No having to earn your stripes, you will earn from your first placement.

· Quarterly & Annual Bonuses: You’ll have the chance to earn some attractive added bonuses on top of the usual commission structure.

· Rolex Reward Club: Hit set targets or reach 10 years’ service and you’ll be rewarded with a Rolex. Yes, we are big believers in placing value on loyalty!

· Company Trips & Socials: Annual incentive trips to exciting destinations like Ibiza, Marbella, and Dubai, along with regular company-funded social events to celebrate the end of each quarter and the seasons.

· Wellbeing Perks: We prioritise your well-being with regular "wellbeing breakfast" sessions and even monthly massages, ensuring you feel your best both inside and out.

· Work-Life Balance: Enjoy flexible working arrangements, along with early finish Fridays, so you can make the most of your weekends.

· Small Company, Big Deal Energy: You’ll enjoy the benefits of working in a small, tight-knit team, while still being part of a business that punches well above its weight. We’re the preferred supplier for many of the leading employers in our specialist sectors.

· Birthday Off: Your birthday is important to us, so you’ll get the day off to celebrate however you like!

· Generous Annual Leave: Enjoy 25 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays, with the opportunity to earn additional leave throughout the year.

· Hot Desk: Step into a desk full of opportunities. Our Building Control team is a market leader, meaning very little new business development is needed – simply nurture existing relationships and start earning commission from day one.

· Tailored Development Programmes: We provide bespoke development programmes designed to meet your personal goals and needs, ensuring you continue growing in your career.

· Flat Hierarchy & Direct Training: With a flat structure, you’ll receive 1-2-1 training directly from the Director and external specialists. No boring training books or classrooms – just real-time, live feedback and mentoring from industry professionals.

If you’re ready to embark on a rewarding career in recruitment and join a thriving business in a booming sector, we’d love to hear from you. If shortlisted, you will be contacted by one of the team within 5 working days.

UAV & Drone Jobs for Non‑Technical Professionals: Where Do You Fit In?

Drones Need More Than Joystick Skills From Royal Mail trials on Scottish islands to BT’s drone‑enabled mobile towers, unmanned‑aircraft systems (UAS) are scaling fast across the United Kingdom. Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) data show over 9,200 commercial drone operator permits (OA/PDRA) in force by January 2025—up 34 % year‑on‑year. PwC’s Skies Without Limits 2.0 forecasts that by 2030 drones could deliver £45 billion in UK economic uplift and 650,000 jobs. Yet adverts often focus on remote pilots and aeronautical engineers. The reality? 41 % of drone‑sector vacancies highlight operations, compliance, sales or programme management rather than stick‑time or soldering (UK Drone Industry Barometer 2024). Whether you’re skilled at logistics, regulatory affairs or storytelling, there’s a seat for you in the cockpit—without logging 1,000 flight hours. This guide explains the fastest‑growing non‑coding, non‑pilot roles, the transferable expertise you may already possess, authentic transition stories and a 90‑day plan to launch your UAV career.
