At Hammer Missions, we developsoftware and AIfordronesused inbuildinginspections, to power the future of safe virtual inspections & digital maintenance.

Having deployed our software with key building engineering firms, we are quickly expanding the engineering team and looking for an experiencedSoftware Engineerto join the team. You will be working very closely with our existing engineering team and senior leadership in this role and will be taking ownership of the tech stack and the technical roadmap.

This is an opportunity to be a part of thecore team, lead the engineering, and play a significant role inshaping the futureof aerial robotics and AI.

Responsibilities (What You'll Do)

Software Development

  • Design, develop, and deploy new features to production.
  • Developsecure,scalable, andfault-tolerantcode.
  • Build scalablecloud infrastructuretogether with the engineering team.
  • Execute on3D ModellingandAI development initiatives.
  • Increasemaintainabilityof code, ensuring long-term system resilience.
  • Test, monitor, andperformance analyzeHammer Hub in production.
  • Suggest and implement development processes,best practices, and tooling.

Lead a High-Performing Team

  • Plan bi-weeklydevelopment sprintswith the software team.
  • Plan and deliver our engineering roadmap alongside other members of the software team.
  • Develop an understanding of the entire software stack at Hammer.
  • Lead the team to deliver on ourHub and App roadmap.
  • Contribute to hiring efforts for the next engineers inAIand3D photogrammetry.

Qualifications (What We're Looking For)

Experience

  • 5+ years indrones, robotics, computer games, orAI, ideally in astartup environment.
  • Prior experience withweb, mobile, cloud, and AIdevelopment.
  • Strong understanding ofdistributed architecture, scalability, performance, and reliability.
  • Skills in modern webfrontendframeworks - React, Vue JS (or similar).
  • Skills in modern webbackendframeworks - Node JS, Flask, Fast API (or similar).
  • An understanding ofmobile appdevelopment.
  • A strong understanding ofcomputer sciencefundamentals and software architecture.
  • Experiencedeployingandmaintainingapplications in production environments.
  • Experience working with moderndatabases- MongoDB, DynamoDB, or similar.
  • Experience with version control (Git) and containerization (Dockeror similar).
  • Experience withCI/CD pipelines& automated software testing.
  • A track record of buildingend-to-end systems.

Location:London, UK

Travel & Working Model:

Hybrid working model with 2 days in the office.
